Michael Schlow: Meet the Chef
With restaurants spanning the country, Michael Schlow has become one of the most influential and respected chef-restaurateurs in the country. He’s been the recipient of countless awards, including being named “Best Chef in the Northeast” by the James Beard Foundation and “Best Chef in the Country” by Sante Magazine; he’s also received the “Culinary Award of Excellence,” which Robert Mondavi only distributes to six recipients a year.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Schlow has already delighted DC audiences at Tico and The Riggsby (inside Kimpton’s newest Dupont Circle hotel —The Carlyle). At his latest endeavor at Kimpton Glover Park Hotel, he dreams up creative and healthful twists on Southern Italian fare.
